PANAMA | Bambito Estate | Yellow Catuai | Natural

Description
From the roasterBambito Estate has been passed down through five generations of the Amar Sittón family. Patriarch Alberto Sittón Ríos took over the farm from his father in 1945, and it remained his lifelong passion. Today, Bambito is run by his granddaughter Priscilla, her brother Rafael, and her son Ivan. The farm sits high in the cloud forests of Volcán Barú , nestled between two national parks. Two mountain ridges run east to west across the property, creating two distinct microclimates on a single 10-hectare farm. That setting has made Bambito famous for its Geisha, and the family's washed Geisha placed sixth in the Washed Geisha category of the 2026 Best of Panama competition, scoring 94.88 points. Geisha isn't the whole story, though. The Amar Sittón family also grow a handful of other varieties, and this naturally processed Yellow Catuai has become a highlight for us. It's a fruit-forward, creamy coffee with a playful side. We've known this family since our first trip to Panama in 2010. Each time we visit, it's just a little more special.
